On August 27th, the first phase of LIUGONG Green Alliance water well project was successfully completed. The 150-meter deep well is not only embedded with technology, but also carries deep concern for the future of the local community.
The highlight of the project is its top-notch solar water pumping system, which realizes the perfect integration of green energy and people's needs. Now, with the wells fully operational, a stream of clear and sweet groundwater is flowing, providing a stable and clean source of drinking water to over 25,000 households in Mabeskraal, greatly improving the living conditions of the villagers.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Mayor of Moses Kotane, Ms. Nketu Nkotswe, spoke highly of the LIUGONG Green Alliance's initiative, noting that the project will have an immeasurable positive impact on the daily lives of the villagers in Mabeskraal. “LIUGONG's selfless assistance has enabled the villagers to say goodbye to the hardships of traveling long distances to fetch water, which is a great contribution to our community.”
And Mr. George Mabe, the villagers' representative from Mabeskraal village, was overwhelmed with gratitude, “This is not just a well, it is a fountain of hope for our village and a testimony of LIUGONG's love and responsibility. We believe that with LIUGONG's support and inspiration, we can work together to create a better future.”
Looking back, since its establishment last year, the LIUGONG Green Alliance has taken the responsibility of promoting the development of public welfare in Africa and is committed to improving the living conditions of local residents through practical actions. This year, the initiative took root in South Africa and plans to spread this green hope to more African countries, bringing clean water to the people there and contributing to the sustainable development of the African continent.
