On June 3, the 25th Shanghai International
Power and Generating Sets Exhibition opened at the Shanghai New International
Expo Center. Cummins showcased a range of new products and solutions for the
power generation sector at the exhibition, highlighting its comprehensive
product portfolio covering engines, generators, and key components, and further
demonstrating its technological strength in the fields of diversified energy
and critical power supply.
At this exhibition, Cummins highlighted
power products for various energy applications, including diesel, natural gas,
and methanol, as well as digital AVR solutions and generator sets designed for
data centers, providing customers with efficient, reliable, and sustainable power
generation solutions.
In terms of power products, Cummins
showcased the QSK38 new-platform electronically controlled engine, the K50N gas
engine, and the 19L multi-fuel platform methanol generator set engine—all
locally produced by Chongqing Cummins—further enhancing its power generation
product portfolio.
Among these, the 19L methanol generator set
engine features advanced combustion technology and methanol-resistant design,
achieving a thermal efficiency of 44.6%. It can operate stably in environments
ranging from -35°C to 50°C and offers significant advantages in reducing carbon
emissions and pollutant emissions.
The QSK38 new-platform electronic control
engine is equipped with a next-generation turbocharging system and a
high-pressure common-rail fuel system, delivering a maximum power output of
1,548 kW. It maintains rated power output at altitudes of up to 3,500 meters,
making it suitable for a wide range of complex operating conditions.
The K50N gas engine offers broad fuel
adaptability, capable of utilizing various gas sources such as natural gas,
associated petroleum gas, and biogas. Combined with an intelligent control
system, it provides users with more efficient operational management solutions.
During the exhibition, Chongqing Cummins
stated that the company will continue to drive product innovation, continuously
improve power system efficiency and reliability, and provide more stable power
solutions for the power generation market.
In terms of critical components and system
support, Cummins Generator Technologies (China) Co., Ltd. showcased the VITA™
01 and VITA™ 05 digital AVR solutions, as well as the S9 Data Center Edition
generator.
The VITA™ 01 is compatible with the
STAMFORD® S0S1 generator platform and achieves a voltage regulation accuracy of
±0.5%. The VITA™ 05 is designed for a broader range of Stamford generator
products, offering enhanced compatibility and control capabilities, with a
voltage regulation accuracy of up to ±0.25%.
The S9 Data Center Edition generator,
launched for data centers and critical load applications, features excellent
dynamic response performance that effectively reduces transient voltage
fluctuations, providing stable and reliable power support for AI data centers
and other critical facilities.
Cummins Generator Technologies (China) stated that, on the occasion of its 30th anniversary in the Chinese market, the company will continue to leverage technological innovation and localized service capabilities to provide higher-quality products and services to data center and critical industry customers.
Through this exhibition, Cummins further
demonstrated its comprehensive industrial chain layout—spanning engines,
generators, and critical components—as well as its diversified development
strategy from traditional energy to low-carbon fuels, continuing to provide
efficient, reliable, and sustainable power solutions to customers worldwide.
