Recently, the “Intelligent Manufacturing
Capability Maturity Model (CMMM) Forum,” hosted by the China Electronics
Standardization Institute under the Ministry of Industry and Information
Technology (MIIT), was held in Shanghai. Centered on the theme of “Standard
Upgrades, Overseas Implementation, and Ecosystem Expansion,” the forum brought
together over 500 representatives, including leaders from MIIT and Shanghai
municipal authorities, academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering,
experts from the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee, as well
as representatives from manufacturing enterprises and universities.
Participants engaged in discussions on the practical application and
international advancement of the intelligent manufacturing standards system.
As an industry representative, XCMG
participated in and signed the joint initiative “Pooling Corporate Strengths to
Deepen Smart Manufacturing Standard Application.”
During the forum, the Smart Manufacturing
Expert Committee awarded CMMM certificates to the first batch of overseas
factories. Leveraging years of accumulated achievements in digital and
intelligent development within the Brazilian market, XCMG Brazil successfully
passed the assessment and obtained the first-ever CMMM Level 3 certification
for an overseas factory in the construction machinery industry. This milestone
signifies the substantive implementation of China's smart manufacturing
standard system at a key overseas manufacturing base.
XCMG Brazil is located in Baú de Minas,
Minas Gerais. Since its establishment in 2012, the company has continuously
advanced localization efforts, upgrading its operations around the principles
of “high-end, intelligent, green, service-oriented, and globalized”
development. This has gradually formed a comprehensive system covering R&D,
manufacturing, supply chain, marketing, and services.
In 2024, XCMG Brazil systematically
advanced manufacturing model upgrades centered on the company's “Intelligent
Transformation, Digital Transition, and Networked Connectivity” initiative.
This drive has fostered leaner production processes, more digitalized
management systems, and smarter production line equipment. The company is
accelerating the establishment of a new model featuring global operational
visualization and intelligent decision-making, positioning itself as a key
demonstration of manufacturing advancement in South America.
Amid intensifying global manufacturing
competition, the focus is shifting from cost advantages to comprehensive
strengths in technology, standards, and branding. This certification not only
reflects XCMG's steady advancement in smart manufacturing capabilities but also
provides a new practical model for promoting the broader adoption of China's
smart manufacturing standards in international markets.
