ZOOMLION Launches the World's First Purely Electric Powered Truck Crane

The world's first purely electric powered truck crane, Model ZTC250N-EV, went off Zoomlion's production line on May 7, 2020.

According to ZOOMLION, the ZTC250N-EV truck crane is more economical and environmentally-friendly than common fuel powered truck cranes.

It can reach a maximum speed of 90km/h and a maximum gradeability of 50%. The comprehensive energy cost is only 35% of other fuel-powered vehicles in the same class. It does not produce any exhaust emissions and the sound during driving and operating is less than 65dB.
For an electric powered vehicle, we always pay more attention to its battery life and charging. The ZTC250N-EV truck crane can deliver over 260km of range, meeting the requirements of most operation. Also, It fits standard charging plugs and industrial sockets.
The application of electric powered construction machinery such as truck cranes and concrete pump trucks has great significance for energy saving and emission reduction.

“We had set up a specialized team in 2018, consisting of staff from research, engineering, manufacturing and quality control departments, and completed the production of the truck crane within two years,” said Mr. Wang, technical director of Engineering Cranes Branch of ZOOMLION.
