Recently, the president of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta launched the construction of the Kenya National Referral and Research Hospital (KNRRH) EPC project.
At the ground breaking ceremony, XCMG's complete sets of equipment including excavator, wheel loader and road machinery were lined up neatly, against the blue sky and white clouds. President Uhuru Kenyatta entered the cab of XCMG XE215C excavator, personally controlled the operating lever and slowly excavated the first shovel representing the start of the project, with thunderous applause.
"The new hospital is a landmark undertaking!" President Uhuru Kenyatta highly praised the outstanding contribution of China Construction and Made in China to Kenya's infrastructure construction. He said that the high level of quality, efficiency and safety of these infrastructure projects has driven the development of local industries in Kenya. He hoped that Chinese products would continue to play a role and contribute to Kenya's infrastructure construction.
It is understood that the project is one of the key projects in the country, adjacent to ABC Plaza and covering an area of 130,000 square meters and a construction area of about 160,000 square meters. XCMG equipment will participate in the project construction. This is another milestone project for XCMG to actively participate in the construction of the Belt and Road and join hands with African countries to fight against the epidemic. After the completion, the project will provide the Kenyan people with better medical care and increase their happiness quotient.
Up to now, XCMG has exported more than 2,000 sets of equipment to Kenya, becoming the preferred brand of construction machinery in Kenya and even in Africa.
